Tour Faraway Farm
Faraway Farm has been in our family for for
close to 60 years. At one time our farm was
home to sheep, chickens, cows and goats. About
30 years ago the pastures and barns were converted
for horses and have housed a variety of breeds:
Arabians, Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, Hanoverians,
and Icelandics. Today, our alpacas and horses
live harmoniously in neighboring fields, equally
fascinated by each other.
What was once a sheep barn, now houses our farm office, a vet room and our farm store. One of our remodeled horse barns is now home to our pregnant alpacas. Organic gardens dot the hillside, along with fruit trees, berry bushes and flowerbeds. It is a peaceful place.
